Abena

Hey, I’m Abena and I’m your normal 17 year old girl, well that depends on your idea of normal, but I go to sixth form and try to get quite involved in my church. When the idea of Change Makers was put forward to me, I thought it was a really great idea! I really want to strengthen my relationship with God and rekindle that fire for Jesus and the Church. I thought, what better way to do that than to follow in Jesus’ footsteps and try to help my community whether that being where I live or the wider Christian community. After all we are all brothers and sisters! Hearing things about the persecuted church really touches my heart and I always remember that I have life so easy living here and I deserve it no more than the Christians being persecuted. This just makes me think more about how I can be a helping hand even if I am thousands of miles away.

I am passionate about being a Change Maker because I am concerned about my brothers and sisters being persecuted in other countries.

Hi my name is Renee and I am currently studying A-Levels at sixth form. I am passionate about being a Change Maker because I am concerned about my brothers and sisters being persecuted in other countries. God has gifted me with the ability to be sociable thus allowing me to interact with various characters from different backgrounds. He has also allowed me to be creative, whether it is through music or just coming up with innovative ideas on various projects. I have been influenced heavily by the youth leaders in my Church who have helped me to become a stronger Christian, allowing us to not only be taught but to use the knowledge that I have acquired to help others outside our Church environment.

When the idea of Change Makers was put forward to me, I thought it was a really great idea! I really want to strengthen my relationship with God and rekindle that fire for Jesus and the Church.
